Paul Wagstaff is a recognized leader in the Retail Consumer Foods industry in the United States. Most recently, Paul was co-Founder and CEO of Eagle Family Foods, a private equity backed CPG food company based in Richfield, Ohio. Paul, led the stand up of the business after completing the platform acquisition of Eagle Brand Milk from The J.M. Smucker Company. He assembled a team of CPG professionals and completed three acquisitions in three years. Under Paul’s leadership, the Eagle ready to eat popcorn brands became the fastest growing popcorn in the U.S. Additionally, he oversaw multiple capital projects including a plant consolidation and snacks automation.
Paul was President of The J.M. Smucker Company US Retail Consumer Foods Division where he successfully led a $2.4 billion business in net sales with over $400 million in profit. He led all key aspects of the business including eight plants and more than 1,300 employees. Prior to US Retail Consumer Foods Division, he was President of US Retail Oils and Baking Businesses, a division with $1 billion in sales and $100 million in profit. Earlier assignments included management of Smucker’s Food Service and Beverage businesses, successful acquisition and development of brands new to the Smucker organization where he expanded plant capabilities and built multiple dedicated teams including sales and marketing, finance, operations, and R&D. During his tenure at Smucker, Paul launched an average of 20-50 new products annually. His inclusive leadership style has consistently resulted in his ability to inspire commitment, as well as develop and retain high performance teams. He combines deep P&L and operating experience with an energetic, creative but practical strategic perspective. He is known as an agile learner with an intellectual “edge”, collaborative and skilled at turning around troubled businesses. He combines an unusual balance of high achievement and competitiveness with an ability to temper stress for himself and those around him.
Paul currently serves on the Advisory Board of American Nutrition (family run pet food business), Cyprium Partners (middle market private investment firm), and the University of Akron Foundation Board. He has served on The J.M. Smucker Board of Directors, Advisory Council for Students in Free Enterprise, the Funders’ Committee for The Fund For Our Economic Future, The Healthy Weight Committee Foundation Board of Governors, and The Old Trail School Board of Trustees.
He earned an MBA in International Business from Pepperdine University and completed his undergraduate studies in International Relations at The College of Wooster.
Jeff Boyle, CFA
Jeff Boyle was a co-Founder and former Chief Administrative Officer of Eagle Family Foods, a private equity backed consumer packaged goods company based in Richfield, Ohio. Jeff, led the stand up of the business after completing the platform acquisition of Eagle Brand Milk from The J.M. Smucker Company. He played a integral role in sourcing and executing three acquisitions completed by Eagle and also oversaw the setup of the ERP, finance, and HR functions as wells as the sales and operational planning process.
During his 29-year career, Jeff has been responsible for capital raising and M&A transactions totaling several billion dollars. During that time, he has gained significant expertise in a variety of industries, including CPG, Transportation, Real Estate, Insurance and Financial Institutions. He has also played various senior operational roles with privately owned companies.
Prior to Eagle, he co-founded Paragon Capital Group, an merchant banking firm where he oversaw the advisory and capital raising activities of the firm along with creating a merchant banking investment fund. While with Paragon he was also the COO of U.S. Specialty Underwriters, a specialty insurance company that he led to an exit that achieved an 8x return for investors in only three years.
Before founding Paragon, he was a Managing Director and the Head of Insurance Investment Banking for Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. At FBR, Jeff was responsible for founding the insurance practice which became the leading insurance equity underwriter in the U.S. Additionally, he led multiple recapitalization and merger and acquisition transactions while with FBR. Previously, Jeff worked for five years in the Financial Institutions Group of McDonald Investments where he was involved in executing numerous merger and acquisition transactions in the bank and thrift and insurance sectors. Prior to his investment banking career, he worked as a bank examiner for the U.S. Treasury Department, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency where he focused on bank examinations and special projects in Washington D.C.
Jeff is on the Board of Trustees for Greenleaf Family Services and prior member of the University of Akron Business Advisory Board, and Big Brothers volunteer. Jeff is a Chartered Financial Analyst and received his B.S. degree in Finance from The University of Akron.
Corinne Kelly is an entrepreneurially minded, classically trained marketer with more than 15 years experience. She is a leader in CPG marketing and has worked across all marketing disciplines, including innovation, communications and strategic brand positioning and development.
Most recently, as VP of marketing for Eagle Foods, she assembled a best in class marketing organization and led the strategic growth of both the snack and baking brands. She repositioned the snack brands and G.H.Cretors became the fastest growing popcorn brand in the US.
Prior to joining Eagle Foods, Corinne spent 10 years at Nestle, and worked on brands including Nestle Toll House, Lean Cuisine, Buitoni and Stouffers. She had P&L responsibility for more than $800 million and through her innovation efforts led notable business growth. In addition, she pushed the company forward with new ideas on digital communications and her strategies were replicated throughout the organization.
Corinne combines her entrepreneurial mindset with a natural ability to inspire and lead to deliver top results. She has a Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and MBA from Indiana University.
